Michael will be joining filmmaker Brad Bird at the 2019 View Conference, held in Turin, Italy, this fall. The conference, which focuses on visual effects, animation, gaming, and other forms of visual media, will take place from October 21-25, and Michael will be giving a keynote address, as well as performing a concert of his work. Last night Michael won the Annie Award for “Outstanding Achievement, Music in an Animated Feature Production” for his score to Incredibles 2.
Michael was recently interviewed by Gold Derby editor Joyce Eng at a special composer’s panel in Los Angeles.

The Incredibles, Michael’s first feature film, was released in November 2004, and was his first collaboration with director Brad Bird. The Incredibles 2, coming out this May, will mark his fifth project with Bird, following Ratatouille, Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, and Tomorrowland. Here is a peak at the new trailer teaser.
